1st cycle of training for community centers and non-governmental organizations on the topic Affirmative action boosting up – Support for employment of clients from the MRK environment

Affirmative action boosting up (DVO)are specific measures that serve to balance inequalities and disadvantages for specific groups of people, whether it is access to employment, education, housing or for example health care.

And Affirmative action boosting up were the topic of the 1st cycle of training for community centers and non-governmental organizations, which was organized on November 24 and 25 by the BBSK Employment Agency at the 3Pé Social Center in Lučenec as part of the project LDI03017 Affirmative action boosting up to increase the employment and education of Romas . The partners of the project are the BBSK Employment Agency, n. o., Slovak National Center for Human Rights and Mangfold i Arbeidslivet (Norway). The goal of the project is to increase awareness and better use of DVO in the employment of Roma men and women, especially from marginalized communities.

As part of the training, those present got acquainted with the project, its realization and implementation of DVO by employers and with the methodology of job counseling. The second day of the training focused on financial literacy and employment in the context of managing finances. The discussion and mutual exchange of experiences of the participants, which they acquired during their long-term practice with marginalized communities, was very stimulating and enriching.
