DVO final conference

The project Temporary compensatory measures to increase the employment and education of Roma LDI03017 is coming to an end. Therefore, a final conference was held on March 13, where we summarized the results achieved during the duration of the project. Among the 46 participants were representatives of the state administration, scientific institutions, non-governmental organizations, the private sector and representatives of the project’s Norwegian partner.
The BBSK labor agency together with the Slovak National Center for Human Rights presented the concept of temporary compensation measures (DVO) and examples of their practical application in Slovakia and abroad. The presenters were Tesco Stores SR, Adient Slovakia, s.r.o. (both DVO recipients), dm drogerie markt (DVO implementer), representatives of the SAS Prognostic Institute, the Ministry of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic, the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak National Center for Human Rights. There was also a presentation by our Norwegian partner – MiA (Stiftelsen Mangfold i Arbeidslivet) about employment services in Norway.
The benefit of the conference was a very lively and fruitful discussion, the professional audience offered a lot of interesting ideas and inspirations in the given field. There was also talk about the wider use of DVO in the education and employment of people from marginalized Roma communities.
At the end of the conference, a workshop was held on the procedure for reporting temporary compensatory measures.
We would like to thank all the presenters and participants of the conference and believe that the conference was professionally and personally rewarding for them.
The event was financed by the project entitled “Temporary compensatory measures to increase the employment and education of Roma” supported by Norwegian grants 2014 – 2021 and the state budget of the Slovak Republic (LDI03017).
The project is implemented by the Labor Agency of the Banskobystrické self-governing region, n.o. in cooperation with the Slovak National Center for Human Rights and the Norwegian partner Stiftelsen Mangfold i Arbeidslivet.
